Safran is hiring at the Mirabel plant to grind attachment points of main landing gear components using air-powered hand tools or semi-automatic equipment, demanding high precision to match exact dimensions for other parts.

You will also prepare parts, inspect with calipers and micrometers, complete QA documentation, and contribute to safety, quality, costs, and on-time deliveries in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma required.
Experience in manual work or in the manufacturing field.
Experience in manual grinding is an asset.
Knowledge of reading blueprints (an asset).
Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers (an asset).
Good manual dexterity.
Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare the part and, if necessary, perform assembly on the equipment.

Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a global leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to manufacturing major components of landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the‑art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.

You will perform, using air‑powered hand tools or semi‑automatic equipment, the grinding of attachment points of the main landing gear components, according to specifications. These operations require a high level of precision to create the exact dimensions to accommodate other mechanical parts.

Evening shift: Monday to Thursday from 2:20 PM to 12:20 AM

Note: Depending on the collective agreement rules, the position may change shifts (day, evening, night, or weekend)

The salary for this position starts between $27.85 and $37.87 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training and your progress in acquiring job‑related skills, the hourly wage will increase up to a maximum of $42.04.
$1.30/hr bonus
