Role – Grinder

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Production Manager or Shift Supervisor, the Grinder is responsible for cutting and grinding parts according to specifications. The role may also involve assisting in other assembly areas as needed.

Compensation:

$24.20 CAD/hr

Hours of work:

Second shift: 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM, Monday to Thursday.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate machines and hand tools to cut, shape, splice, and fit materials for parts and assemblies
2. Follow blueprints and drawings for product fabrication
3. Prepare composite materials from patterns to join parts and assemblies
4. Collaborate with team members to improve productivity and quality
5. Accurately document process information and time on sheets and cards
6. Move shells and load them onto carts
7. Perform other related activities as required

1. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety rules and supporting a safety culture
2. Model safety behaviors across the organization
3. Support hazard assessments and standard operating procedures

7. You can lift up to 25 lbs., and are capable of bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
8. You have your own transportation, as public transit is not available
