Magnum Services Ltd. is hiring for an Entry Level Greenhand - Class 5 in Grande Prairie, AB. This full-time role involves operating and caring for field equipment, basic shop maintenance, and supporting field crews.

The position is safety-sensitive and requires readiness to work varied shifts near oilfield sites. Responsibilities include cleaning, equipment upkeep, and assisting with rigging, bulk plant tasks, and routine truck oil changes within 200 km.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Physically able to move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• On-call 24 hours on, 15 days on, 6 days off rotation (subject to change).
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Keep shop and yard clean and organized.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
• Help prepare crews for field deployments.
• Assist in bulk plant operations when required.
• Ensure oil changes on company trucks within 200 km of service.
• Learn rigging procedures and operation of Magnum equipment for cementing wells.
• Perform laundry duties and return cleaned items to designated areas.

Entry Level Greenhand - Class 5 - Grande Prairie, AB

Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $75,000.00 Annually

POSITION SCOPE

Under the direction of the Station Manager, the Greenhand is responsible for operating, driving and caring for field equipment, performing shop maintenance and supporting the operational business. This is a junior/entry level position. This position is considered to be a safety-sensitive position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

• Keep the shop and yard clean, including floors, washrooms, coffee rooms, and clean/wash bay.
• Put parts and tools away in identified storage locations.
• Assist with cleaning and working on equipment.
• Assist with getting crews ready to go out on jobs.
• Assist in the bulk plant when required.
• Ensure oil changes are completed on company pickup trucks in your operation within 200 km’s of requiring it.
• Understand and assist with rigging in and rigging down units, running the bulk unit, and location clean up.
• Learn the terminologies and operation of some or all of Magnum’s equipment and components as it relates to the cementing of oil and gas wells.
• Perform laundry duties and ensure cleaned items are put away in their designated areas.

General

• Participate in training and development activities.
• Other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Required

• A valid driver’s license (non-graduated) with a clean driver’s record.
• Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg., bending, standing, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
• Able to be on call 24 hours on 15 days on 6 days off rotational schedule, always remaining fit for duty (subject to change due to market conditions).
• Legally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.
