AK Gill Transport in Edmonton is seeking a full-time truck driver to join our team. You will handle loading and unloading, and transport goods across varying routes, maintaining safety and logbooks.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, brake adjustments, roadside repairs, and timely documentation of cargo, hours of service, and fuel usage. Training is provided for the right candidate.

Candidates must have a valid Class 1 or A license and English proficiency.

Formación

• Secondary school graduation certificate is required.
• No experience is required; on-the-job training provided.

• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
