Position Overview

We are currently seeking a seasonal full-time Grass Cutting Lead Hand to work in our lawn care division. Hours will vary depending on company needs but the ideal candidate must be available to work Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.

The position will run from approximately beginning/mid-April until October.

Job Duties

  • Safely and efficiently lead crew’s in providing landscaping care for our clients
  • Direct multiple crews and equipment for various work sites
  • Provide support and expertise and leadership on more specialized jobs
  • Complete Quality Control worksite inspections.
  • Provide mentorship and training to staff and oversee employee development
  • Abide by Davey and industry safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Experience using lawn care equipment (eg. aerator, roller, spreader)
  • Experience using grass cutting equipment (eg. push mower, zero turn tractor, trimmer)
  • 'G' Class drivers license and a clean drivers abstract
  • Experience driving truck with flatbed trailer
  • Ability to lift 40 to 50 lbs
  • Customer service experienced preferred

Additional Information

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • $20 to $23 / hour depending on experience
  • 4% Vacation Pay
  • 40+ hours per week
