Job summary

A leading logging company in Thunder Bay is seeking a Grapple Skidder Operator for full-time work. Candidates should have experience operating a grapple skidder and a background in the logging industry. Responsibilities include safe operation of equipment, performing maintenance checks, and achieving production goals. The role offers competitive pay and additional benefits after a probation period.

Benefits

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating a grapple skidder preferred.
  • Experience in the logging industry is a strong asset.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
  • Operate grapple skidder in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform daily circle checks and routine maintenance on equipment
  • Meet production goals in a consistent manner
  • Willingness to work day shift and night shift if required
  • Other duties within logging operation as assigned
Benefits
  • $38.07/hour
  • Benefits and RRSP contribution after probationary period
  • 4 days a week, 10 hour shifts
  • OT optional, for 50 hour weeks, paid at time and a half over 40 hours
  • Partial ride time paid, daily transportation from Thunder Bay provided
Requirements
  • Grapple skidder experience preferred
  • Logging industry experience preferred
  • Valid G Driver’s Licence and reliable transportation
  • Ability to commute/relocate to Thunder Bay
