Job summary

Online placement (E-Volunteer)

Partner Location : Ethiopia

Start Date : June / July 2025

Placement Length : 6 Months

Language Requirements : English Level 5 - Fluent

Eligibility : Open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada only

The E-Volunteer’s Role

Cuso International invites qualified candidates interested in working with the youth sector to make a positive impact for future generations.

As a volunteer with Rejoice Africa, you will help evaluate and revise the Young Leaders Development (YLD) three-year training program and develop graphic design materials to empower youth and young leaders to become community leaders.

Essential Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, English, journalism, or a related field. Proven content writing or copywriting experience.

Essential Background :

  • Experience with graphic design, including proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud suite. Basic motion graphic design, video editing, GIF creation, 3D software, and animation skills are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of media production and communication. Excellent verbal communication skills. Attention to detail. Ability to work well with others, and flexibility to adapt to change.

About E-Volunteering

Cuso International’s e-volunteering program allows volunteers to work remotely with international partners. It offers the benefits of international volunteering, fitting into your weekly schedule without requiring travel. Volunteers contribute skills, gain new experiences, and build connections.

Volunteers should have basic home office equipment, reliable internet, and moderate computer skills. Flexibility and patience are important, especially as some partners may have unreliable internet or are new to working with e-volunteers.
