Kasian is looking to cover the maternity leave of our firm's Graphic Designer from May -May . Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the graphic designer will be joining a national marketing and business development team, consisting of 11 members located across 4 offices. The Marketing and Business Development team works with all 7 offices and market sectors, and in turn, has the benefit of collaborating with our Principals and senior leadership team, including Don Kasian, on a regular basis.

The role (Maternity Leave Coverage) :

  • You will provide monthly mentoring sessions and ongoing assistance to Proposal Specialists on graphic design skills and tools.
  • You will edit photos using Photoshop and Lightroom
  • You will update our internal communications graphics on SharePoint.
  • You will provide creative advice and direction with respect to marketing materials for business development initiatives, and support project teams in the creation of client-facing materials for both print and digital platforms,
  • You will prepare files for printing and support offices with the print process with local suppliers.
  • You will play a vital role in working with the team to establish design layouts and templates for proposals and presentations,
  • Work in close collaboration with the team to develop brochures, collateral and other promotional materials,
  • Develop videos and multimedia presentations, and assist with graphics for awards submissions, our website and social media platforms,
  • Create infographics, illustrations and other supporting materials for use in proposals, presentations and client-facing projects,
  • You will support and maintain design excellence while upholding Kasian's brand identity.

What we're looking for :

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of professional graphic design experience,
  • Professional Degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Information Design, or Fine Arts,
  • Strong understanding of web design fundamentals, including analytics and WordPress,
  • Someone who brings their A game has strong design fundamentals, and the ability to manage multiple projects at a time,
  • Prior experience in the Architectural and / or Interior Design, Engineering or Construction (AEC) field is an asset,
  • Conceptual and strategic thinker who can translate ideas into well-crafted design solutions,
  • Someone who is naturally curious and up to date with the latest news and trends in the design and marketing world,
  • Strong communicator with exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills;
  • Advanced typography, graphic design, and presentation skills,
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator is a must),
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, self-schedule, and meet tight deadlines while advancing projects with minimal oversight and working with colleagues from various departments, market sectors and locations.
