Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Partnership Development, the Designer, Brand Partnerships will be responsible for managing all design projects required by Oak View Group Canada’s various business units tied to brand projects including a new venue development project, third party property sales, our brand consulting practice, and more.

Our business development and consulting teams are required to present big ideas, complex marketing strategies and execution plans to the world’s top brands, and we strive to always put our best work forward. Strong design, impactful visuals and eye-catching aesthetics are a critical part of our business. In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, our Designer will create bespoke, creative work for existing and prospective clients from ideation through to completion. You’re a confident design professional with a well-trained eye and strong communication skills (especially written). You’re organized, able to manage multiple projects at different stages of development, and always deliver the highest quality work. You’re interested in working on a fast-paced and entrepreneurial team, with ample room to shape and develop the design identity of the organization.

This role will pay a wage of $65,000 to $75,000.

Responsibilities
  • Leads different types of design projects from ideation through to completion.
  • Design original works, including presentations, illustrations, mock-ups, one-pagers, infographics, etc.
  • Refines media (images, fonts, layouts) using graphic design software and can apply typography techniques effectively.
  • Creates visual ideas to portray concepts and bring multi-faceted marketing and consulting programs to life for internal stakeholders, partners, prospects and clients.
  • Maintains brand consistency across all projects.
  • Collaborates with business development and consulting teams to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Stays current on industry developments, tools, techniques, and aesthetics.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as Graphic Designer or similar role
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with presentation building tools (i.e., PowerPoint, Keynote, etc.)
  • Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to work across multiple colours, fonts, layouts, and brand guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and strong time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment while managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in a marketing or sponsorships related role preferred but not required
  • Qualities we are looking for: integrity, work ethic, positive attitude, results driven, teamwork, independence, creativity, confidence, leadership, and urgency.
  • Graduate of an accredited Graphic Design program considered an asset.
  • BSc degree in Design, Visual Arts or relevant field an asset
