Job summary

Johnston Group Inc. in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our Marketing and Communications team.

You’ll craft high-quality concepts and designs for print, digital, web, and video, ensuring publications and materials meet brand standards and business objectives. You will contribute to process improvements and help implement a digital asset management platform, with a hybrid work model from our Winnipeg office.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of design experience preferred.
  • Degree or diploma in graphic design or related program.
  • Exceptional ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience maintaining a highly organized file management system.
  • Ability to work closely in a team environment and self-motivated to work independently.
  • Proficient in graphic design programs, and experience with digital platforms used to create, distribute and manage digital assets.

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling graphic and multi-media designs and layouts for various platforms, including digital ads, banners, social media, presentations, brochures, e-newsletters, and printed marketing collateral.
  • Develop, edit and oversee the design and production of materials used in various channels and mediums, including web content, video content, animations, infographics and branded merchandise.
  • Maintain consistency in branding by ensuring all design elements align with company guidelines.
  • Optimize website and digital content to ensure functionality, visual appeal, and positive user experience.
  • Work closely with IT, developers, and external parties, providing expertise on design, brand, and communication best practices.
  • Identify business process improvements and suggest ways to streamline or enhance procedures.
  • Stay current with new and emerging design trends and the tools, software and platforms used to develop innovative multi-media content.
