GRAPHIC DESIGNER

THE POSITION:

The Graphic Designer is experienced in graphic design, with the ability to create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos. Your graphics will capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. To excel in this role, the successful applicant will need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements in to design.

HOW YOU WILL BE MAKING AN IMPACT:

• Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design and budget specifications.
• Use digital illustrations, photo editing software, and layout software to create designs.
• Complete projects by coordinating with suppliers – web agencies, printers, and media.
• This includes requesting quotes, finalizing, and approving proofs.
• Create visual elements such as icons, graphs, charts, maps, original images, and illustrations to help deliver our message.
• Design layouts from conceptualization to publishing.
• Ensure all projects and designs are completed at the highest quality, catching errors and meeting deadlines.
• Coordinate with colleagues, engineering team, and upper management on projects.
• Design and maintain website content and user interfaces, ensuring seamless user experiences and on-brand visual consistency.
• Create and implement responsive website designs using platforms such as WordPress, Divi, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with marketing and development teams to create engaging UX/UI designs for new digital initiatives.
• Optimize website design for functionality, performance, and SEO best practices.
• Perform regular website updates and troubleshoot design-related issues.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU REQUIRE:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in graphic design
• Strong understanding of graphic design fundamentals
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and SharePoint)
• Understanding of pre-press and production techniques is considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in UX/UI design and website interface creation.
