About the Opportunity
Our Vancouver office is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated Graphic Designer to join our growing Visual Communications team. Our team supports Urban Systems' engineering and planning projects for our municipal, provincial, and Indigenous community clients. Our work helps bring ideas to life through clear, engaging, and accessible design. - Applying your creative skills to prepare proposals, reports, presentations, posters, graphics, layout, and printing production using Adobe Creative Suite, while ensuring our work reflects our company and clients for both internal and external engagement materials.
- Creating graphic design materials that align with our clients' established brand standards, ensuring consistency in visual style, tone, and messaging across all deliverables.
- Being a part of a highly collaborative team supporting projects across our practices and branches.
- Increasing accessibility in our communication projects and practices.
- Being a steward of the Urban Systems' brand and visual standards.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate of a graphic design or communications program with 1 - 3 years of relevant experience. The core skills, strengths, and abilities that will help you succeed here include:
- Creative Collaboration – You are able to translate complex information and present it in a clear and concise way, spanning diverse audiences and platforms. You enjoy working with multiple teams across multiple locations to build strong interpersonal relationships.
- Technical Design Proficiency – You are technically proficient and experienced in Adobe Creative Suite and have a design eye to produce visually appealing materials.
- Organization and Adaptability– You can balance requests from multiple sources and work within timelines. Work without boundaries and be open to finding diverse and unexpected solutions to problems and challenges. Be an integral member of a growing team and fuel creativity and excitement.
- Commitment to Quality – You are mindful of all aspects involved regardless of magnitude, reviewing workload, client needs, and applicable processes while maintaining attention to detail.
- Service-Driven Mindset – You devote your attention to meeting the needs of others and readily assist wherever required. You are driven by a thirst for knowledge, continually seeking information by asking questions and learning about processes, people, or issues.

This position will have a salary range of $65,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The range is negotiable based on your skillset and experience.
