Job description

Northern Strands Group of Companies (NSGC)is currently recruiting to fulfill a temporary/contract position for a reliable and detail-oriented Graphic Designer.This term/contract position will help maintain and update NSGC’s branded print materials and will play a key part in ensuring our literature, templates, and marketing materials remain current, consistent, and professional.


This is a two-month term/contract position best suited to a designer with strong layout skills and an eye for branding consistency. The Graphic Designer will primarily be responsible for updating and refining existing documents.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Update and format existing print materials including brochures, technical documents, booklets, and templates

  • Ensure all updates follow established brand guidelines and document standards

  • Prepare files for professional printing and digital distribution

  • Collaborate with marketing and department leads to gather revision feedback and apply edits

  • Organize and maintain a structured file management system for all design assets


REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS



  • Proven experience in graphic design, specifically in print layout and document formatting

  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is required

  • Understanding of file prep for print (i.e., bleeds, CMYK, resolution, etc.)

  • Knowledge and experience in utilizing Apple platforms and Microsoft 365 is considered an asset

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to handle competing priorities simultaneously; work well under pressure with time-sensitive deadlines



  • Comfortable with hybrid work model (on-site availability as needed)
