WHAT WE NEED:

We are looking a Graphic Designer to join our Marketing department in Abbotsford, BC. We operate like a design agency and do all of our own marketing and design in house. If you are creative and willing to push the envelope, you might be who we are looking for. In these roles, you will have a variety of work including but limited to: videography, photography, package design, web design, catalogue creation, flyers and so much more.

Please note that this is an in-office position and you must be willing to come to our manufacturing facility in Abbotsford.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conceptualize and Design: Generate creative ideas and design concepts for various projects, including logos, brochures, posters, websites, social media content, advertisements, and more.
  2. Visual Branding: Maintain and enhance brand identity, ensuring consistency across all design materials to reinforce brand recognition.
  3. Graphics Production: Create high-quality graphics, illustrations, and multimedia elements that effectively convey the desired message and meet project objectives.
  4. Software Proficiency: Utilize graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), to create and edit design assets.
  5. Layout and Typography: Develop layouts, select appropriate fonts, and arrange visual elements to create visually appealing and easy-to-read designs.
  6. Color Theory: Apply a deep understanding of color theory to create harmonious and engaging color schemes.
  7. Image Editing: Retouch and manipulate images to enhance visual appeal and ensure quality in print and digital media.
  8. Client Collaboration: Communicate with clients and team members to understand project requirements, provide design updates, and receive feedback.
  9. Deadlines: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively
  10. Market Trends: Stay current with design and industry trends, incorporating new techniques and technologies to improve design quality.
  11. File Management: Organize and maintain design files and assets to ensure easy access for future reference and revisions.

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in graphic design, with a portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.

Preferred Skills (not required but beneficial):

  • Experience with web design and user interface (UI) design.
  • Animation and video editing skills.
  • Familiarity with printing and production processes.
