Job summary

LaSalle College Vancouver is seeking a Graphic Design Instructor (Sessional Faculty) to teach graphic design courses, develop curriculum, and mentor students within the Art and Design programs. Reporting to the Program Director of Art and Design, the role emphasizes student-centered teaching, flexible delivery, and engagement in professional development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in design or related discipline; teaching credentials preferred.
• Minimum 3 years related experience in academia or industry.
• Experience teaching Graphic Design is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and classroom management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach graphic design courses and sections as assigned by the Program Director.
• Design, develop and deliver course curriculum, assignments and rubrics.
• Provide student mentorship and maintain attendance and grade records.
• Maintain office hours and respond promptly to student inquiries.
• Participate in faculty meetings, program reviews and curriculum updates.
• Support equity, diversity and inclusion in the classroom.
