Who are we? We’re Raising The Village, a non-profit organization founded in 2016 with the mission of ending ultra-poverty in our lifetime. We have impacted over 665,000 lives in Uganda through innovative and holistic approaches. As we expand, we seek to maximize our long-term impact and are looking for a dedicated team member to help us grow and deepen our impact.

Position: Grant Manager

This role reports to the Chief of Staff and collaborates closely with the CEO and Director of Strategic Partnerships. You will manage the Partnerships Coordinator and contribute to fundraising strategies. Responsibilities include:

  1. Account Management and Systems: Maintain internal systems for tracking proposals and reporting schedules, ensuring team engagement and adherence to deadlines.
  2. Grant Writing & Reporting: Manage the full lifecycle of grant partnerships, develop high-quality proposals and reports, ensure compliance, and coordinate with various departments for funding success.
  3. Prospecting: Research and develop relationships with potential funders, foundations, and partners, supporting a diverse funding stream to meet organizational revenue goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience in international development or non-profit sectors.
  • Proven experience in institutional fundraising, proposal development, and understanding of sector trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to convey complex data clearly.
  • Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of program planning, logic models, and M&E processes.
  • Experience managing teams and working independently or collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in GSuite, MS Office, and database management.
