Job summary

A leading company in stone processing is seeking individuals to operate various machines involved in cutting and finishing stone products. Ideal candidates will perform tasks such as operating saws and polishing surfaces, with training provided. The position is full-time and requires on-site work only.

Responsibilities

• Operate blade or wire saws to cut blocks of stone.
• Set up and operate machines to mix, drill, grind concrete.
• Grind and polish surfaces of stone products.
• Operate sandblasting equipment for inscriptions.
• Sharpen grindstones using stone-dressing lathe.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Operate blade or wire saws to cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions
• Set up, adjust and operate single-function machines to mix, drill, grind and cut concrete to specifications
• Operate machines to:
  • Grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs or other stone products to specific shape or design and to produce a smooth finish
  • Drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications
• Operate sandblasting equipment to cut inscriptions or decorative designs in monumental stone
• Operate stone-dressing lathe to sharpen and dress grindstones that grind logs into pulp
