Job description

Opportunity for a results-focused individual to be accountable for all aspects of management for a 12,000-acre grain farm operation. This individual shall report directly to the GM and owner.

Responsibilities:

  1. Development of and implementing seasonal plans
  2. Liaise with landowners and crop share holders
  3. Procurement of Agri-products and inventory
  4. Lead, supervise and train team members
  5. Conduct performance and development reviews of team
  6. Ensure safety and efficiency in the workplace
  7. Forecast and prepare annual operating budgets
  8. Share equipment need & maintenance knowledge

Requirements:

  1. Extensive knowledge of crop input and output
  2. Proven leadership, team building and interpersonal skills
  3. Fluent with computers
  4. Excellent organizational, communication and decision-making skills
  5. Experience in management
  6. Effectively coach and lead a team of diversified equipment operators
  7. Ability to work in unison with department leads
  8. Legally entitled to work in Canada

Preferred:

  1. Diploma/Degree in Agribusiness &/or Business Admin
  2. Agronomy or CCA training, PAC/PDC Certification, C1 license
