Job Title: Grain Accounting Administrator

The Grain Accounting Administrator will primarily be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of grain unloads, sales orders, contract application and invoicing. They are also responsible to ensure any related payables associated with grain movement are entered/paid.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with logistics and grain buyers to record unload information into Agrosoft
  • Ensuring accurate contract application and processing of customer invoices for all locations
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable team on account management and cash application
  • Recording of vendor payables and invoice payments
  • Reconcile related Balance Sheet accounts
  • Vendor/customer inquiry and support as needed
  • Supporting monthly regulatory and management reporting
  • Assist in other areas and functions of the finance department

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Customer Service and corporate office environment
  • Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 years general accounting experience
  • Early stages of CPA designation program
  • Ability to execute high level of volume with accuracy
  • Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable and general accounting procedures
  • Highly detail oriented with effective communication and time management skills
  • High level of customer service
  • Ability to work in a challenging, changing environment
  • Strong system experience (SAP and Agrosoft) and general grain industry knowledge considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve
