Purpose:

As part of the Worley Graduate Community and under supervision and mentorship within the Liability, Management & Restoration (LM&R) department, you will support and assist Project Managers in all aspects of project execution including coordination, environmental monitoring, water and soil sampling of remediation and decommissioning sites.

This is a full-time position based in the designated Worley Calgary office.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform up to 80% various types of fieldwork including but not limited to surface water/groundwater monitoring and sampling, soil sampling, drilling, test pitting, remedial excavations, detailed site assessments (DSA) and reclamation.
  • Logging, texturing soils and operating various types of environmental related field equipment.
  • Collection of accurate field data using best practices and following standard operating procedures.
  • Support and assist Project Managers in all aspects of project execution including coordination and procurement of project supplies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of environmental solutions.
  • Preparation and execution of technical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and company policies in all project activities.
  • Participate in fieldwork, including site inspections, sampling, and monitoring, under the supervision of senior personnel.
  • Keen safety awareness.
  • Travel as required for various field programs.

What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:

  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of the fundamental requirements of environmental science, engineering, and the basic requirements of environmental field work.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Willing to self-relocate to the designated Worley office location.
  • Class 5 driver’s license.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • Recognized BSc, MSc or Diploma degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology or related field from an accredited university or college.
  • May have Internship experience with environmental science or engineering firm or setting.
