The Registrar's Office staff are committed to strong service excellence in supporting the academic and registrarial needs of current undergraduate, graduate and professional master’s students. These services include advising and administration as it relates to registration, financial need, scholarships & awards, and graduation. In addition, the Registrar’s Office is responsible for recruitment and admissions of prospective students, administration of experiential learning opportunities (international, research, in-field learning courses), scheduling of academic courses and exams and providing faculty support. The staff in the Office work collectively toward enhancing the student experience while being committed to operating under principles of equity, diversity and inclusion. The Graduate Program Coordinator is an integral member of a team of administrative and student services professionals who work together to provide exceptional student services in the Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education. Reporting to the Assistant Registrar, Graduate Programs, the Graduate Program Coordinator provides day to day program support by answering inquiries from students regarding admission requirements, exam and defence administration, program and tuition information, and funding. The incumbent is responsible for providing support to all KPE graduate students through their programs, ensuring that all Faculty and School of Graduate Studies requirements are met. The Graduate Program Coordinator plays a supporting function for graduate awards processes and competitions, graduate student funding, student registration, petitions & appeals, programs of study, project/thesis requirements, overall degree requirements and eligibility to graduate. Working in collaboration with other members of the Registrar’s Office, the coordinator participates in recruitment initiatives as needed, to attract the best possible candidates for the program. The incumbent will participate in department and Faculty special events which enhance the graduate student experience.
