Job summary

GHD is looking for a Graduate Engineering Technician to support infrastructure documentation and design. You will assist with drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, working with engineers and project teams in a hybrid setup across Whitby, Markham, Toronto, or Mississauga.

Ideal candidates bring a Civil Engineering Technology diploma, CAD proficiency (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D), and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related program.
• Strong attention to detail and interest in technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working in digital document environments.
• Strong written communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn within a consulting environment.
• Eligibility to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, format, and coordinate engineering drawings, specs, reports, and docs.
• Organize drawing packages, deliverables, and document registers.
• Assist with site visits, inspections, and condition assessments.
• Apply CAD and digital design tools to support documentation and design updates.
• Perform document QA/QC to meet project standards and client requirements.
• Manage version control and file organization in SharePoint or similar.
• Coordinate inputs from multiple disciplines for consolidated packages.
• Support submissions, reviews, and milestone deliverables.
• Follow GHD safety, quality, and integrity standards.
• Learn and apply applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
