About the Role

Currently, we are seeking qualified and motivated Grader Operators to join our growing team in Hemlo, ON. There are multiple open positions that we are actively looking to fill.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operating grader equipment and completing pre-operational checks and maintenance as required
  • Precisely placing and spreading materials on roadway and ramp systems for the purposes of maintaining a smooth roadway
  • Communicating and coordinating effectively with haulage trucks and others on a busy ramp system to safely and efficiently maintain roadways and respond to areas requiring rebuilding after washouts or other damage
Qualifications
  • Must have Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000, U0001, U0002, & U0012) or equivalent provincial designation
  • Specialty module U0022 - Operate Grader is required
  • Following Specialty modules are considered an asset:
    • U0018 – Operate Mechanized Rock Bolter
    • U0089 – Operate Mechanized Jumbo Drill
    • U0091 – Operate Haul Truck
  • Previous experience using a jackleg and stoper is considered an asset
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years underground development experience
  • Committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
  • Must be open to working at any of the underground mine sites that Technica operates at
