Education & Experience
- Ontario College of Teachers Certificate is required.
- New and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.
- Some experience in a similar position is an asset.
- A demonstrated passion and commitment to professional growth and development.
- Strong communication skills (written & oral) with students, parents, and administrators.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Preparing, teaching, and assessing academic subjects aligned with the Ontario curriculum.
- Incorporating First Nation cultural knowledge and activities into the curriculum in collaboration with the Language and Cultural coordinator.
- Preparing and updating Individual Education Plans for students.
- Participating in ongoing professional development.
- Providing necessary information for reports to the Principal.
- Coordinating meetings with parents and professionals when necessary.
- Liaising with service providers to enhance educational programming, with permission from the school principal.
Qualifications
- Ontario Teaching Certificate is required.
- Knowledge of First Nations culture and experience with First Nations students are assets, along with excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills.
- Membership in the Ontario College of Teachers in good standing or in the process of certification, with a demonstrated professional work ethic and leadership experience.
- Knowledge of culturally responsive teaching practices and ability to integrate First Nations cultural knowledge into the curriculum.
- Excellent computer literacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Special education training or experience working with students with special needs is an asset.
- Willingness to participate in local community and cultural events.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $78,173.00 to $106,254.00, contingent on Ontario College of Teachers Certification.
