Job description

OPEN COMPETITION

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Education Department is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 academic year to fill the following Full-Time Term position based out of Sally Ross School in Hall Lake, SK: Grade 7-8 Teacher.

The suitable candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  1. Bachelor of Education degree and a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate or a provisional professional A teaching certificate;
  2. Strong classroom management skills;
  3. Ability to teach students of varying abilities;
  4. Use motivational skills and strategies to encourage students to learn and keep them engaged;
  5. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to instruct and educate students;
  6. Possess technology skills and work with software programs (PowerPoint, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams);
  7. Strong time management skills;
  8. Teaching experience at the elementary level is an asset;
  9. Cross-cultural experience is an asset;
  10. Online teaching experience is an asset;
  11. Valid Class 5 Driver’s License;
  12. Must be able to provide verification of previous teaching experience (if applicable);
  13. Must be able to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening.
