SCIENCE & MATH TEACHER

Grade 7-12 (Permanent, Full-time)

Whistler Waldorf School is seeking an experienced Middle and High School (Grade 11-12) Science and Math Teacher for a permanent position to teach 1 FTE (full-time equivalent) for 2025/2026 with a possible contract extension for the future.

WWS offers its faculty professional development, a balanced lifestyle with summer and school holiday breaks, and tuition remission for those applicants who may have children (dependent on contracted hours). Teacher positions start at $60,000-$85,000 depending on experience. The perfect candidate will be:

  1. Fully certified BC teacher (or be eligible to apply for a BC license) with a Bachelor’s Degree of Education and/or relevant Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematical Sciences, or equivalent university graduation/specialization, diploma, and/or technical certificate.
  2. Qualified with 2+ years of teaching experience.
  3. A Canadian citizen and/or eligible to work in Canada with a current Criminal Record Check.
  4. Professional with excellent communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to foster team-based relationships with students, parents, and other Faculty/Administrative Staff colleagues.

Bonus points:

  1. Certified and/or trained in Waldorf Education or may be willing to become Waldorf teacher trained is a plus.
  2. A French language specialty and/or second teachable subject is an asset to combine for full-time positions.
