Position Details

We are recruiting a full-time Grade 6 and Junior High Drama Teacher at Lakeland Ridge. The position is 0.75 FTE for Grade 6 and 0.25 FTE for Grades 7-9 Performing Arts/Drama. Preferred qualities include:

  • Wolves Theatre Production Director experience
  • Science of Reading training
  • Junior High Fine Arts training and teaching experience
  • Scripting, choreographing, and stage-management skills
  • Set design, lighting, and sound expertise
  • Experience incorporating First Nations, Métis, and Inuit knowledge
  • Diversity and mental health training
  • Restorative Practices and Collaborative Response training
  • Vocal training
  • Large event coordination
  • Experience leading student GSA and building relationships with Elders and knowledge keepers

Lakeland Ridge serves approximately 720 students from Kindergarten to Grade 9, located in Sherwood Park, AB. Our school emphasizes academic excellence, technology, arts, community involvement, and leadership opportunities.
