Job summary

Airdrie Christian Academy in Alberta seeks a Grade 4 Teacher to inspire young learners and deliver Alberta curriculum-aligned lessons with a Christ-centred perspective.

The role involves planning differentiated lessons, maintaining an organized classroom, and fostering a supportive, collaborative learning environment for diverse student needs. Reporting to the Principal, you will participate in staff meetings and school activities.

• Valid Teachers Certificate
• Teacher Qualification Standard document
• Committed follower of Jesus Christ
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Commitment to professional growth and ongoing learning.
• Must have a police record check with vulnerability screening on file prior to starting employment
• Must align with the mission and vision of ACA

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate alignment with Airdrie Christian Academy's (ACA) mission and vision
• Prepare engaging differentiated lesson plans and execute them with excellence
• Courses offered in Grade 4 and follow curriculum followed by the program
• Keep an organized, tidy and orderly classroom that promotes learning
• Create a safe and respectful classroom environment that supports the academic, social, physical and emotional development of all students
• Assess student progress using approved assessment tools
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support student success
• Collaborate with other Teachers and staff to support student learning
• Participate in various staff meetings, professional development and other extra-curricular activities
• Adheres to applicable policies and procedures
• Supports wider school program and activities
• Reports directly to the Principal
