Job description

The Pukatawagan Education Authority invites applications for the 2024-2025 school year for the following position: Grade 3 Teacher.

Location: Pukatawagan, a community of the Mathias Colomb Cree Nation in northern Manitoba, near the Saskatchewan border (North-East of Flin Flon, South of Lynn Lake, West of Thompson). Sakastew School is a K-12 school.

About Pukatawagan:

Pukatawagan is located on the Churchill River, also known as the Missinippi River. The population is over 3,000+ both on and off reserve. The community offers various amenities including a Northern and community store, Roman Catholic Church, Nursing Station, and facilities operated by the Mathias Colomb Cree Nation. Travel options include train or plane from The Pas, with a winter road accessible during winter months. Satellite internet (Starlink) and cell reception are available. The area is rich in lakes, rivers, and forests, offering opportunities for hunting, fishing, boating, skiing, and snowmobiling.
