The Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese (the CISVA) operates 46 schools – 40 elementary and 6 high schools. Sacred Heart Elementary is seeking a faith-filled Grade 2 Teacher for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year. This is a one-year position with the potential to roll into a continuing contract for the 2026–2027 school year.

We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates a strong commitment to the Catholic faith, who embraces the Augustinian values of TRUTH, UNITY, and LOVE, creating a classroom guided by the search for truth, rooted in community, and animated by love. Applicants must be competent in the BC curriculum and eager to contribute to a collaborative, caring school environment.

A key part of this role involves preparing students to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion for the first time. The successful candidate will be someone who can journey with students and families through this sacred and joyful time in their faith formation.

The ideal candidate will be dedicated to nurturing the hearts and minds of young learners, committed to building up the next generation, and engaged in ongoing professional growth.
