Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Finish Grader Operator to support the NXE Rook 1 Project on a remote Northern Saskatchewan site. You will be responsible for precision grading, parking lots, roadways, and site development using GPS machine control to meet design specifications.

Strong safety practices, ability to read grade plans, and prior experience with Cat graders are essential. Camp accommodations, travel allowances, and competitive wages are provided through CLAC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating finish graders on civil construction or site development.
• Experience using GPS grade control systems (Topcon, Trimble, Leica, or equivalent).
• Experience performing fine grading for parking lots, roads, or similar infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret grade plans, blueprints, and site layouts.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing completed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Cat 14M and 16M graders to meet production and quality targets.
• Utilize GPS machine control to achieve accurate grades and elevations according to design specifications.
• Perform fine grading for parking lots, roadways, drainage features, and site development projects.
• Conduct pre-trip/walk-around inspections and complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments.
• Maintain heavy equipment in good working condition and report maintenance requirements promptly.
• Interpret site plans, grade stakes, and digital grade models to ensure work is completed accurately.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, survey crews, and other team members.
• Promote a strong safety culture and comply with safety requirements.
