Santimed Family and Walk-in Clinic in Calgary, Alberta, seeks a family medicine physician. The role involves collecting patient data, examining health conditions, and coordinating comprehensive primary care in a private, on-site clinic setting.

The ideal candidate will have medical licensure in Canada (and credentials such as CCFP/LMCC/MCCQE). Training and experience in prenatal care and patient advocacy are valued. Relocation assistance may be considered.

Qualificações

• Must hold licensure by provincial authorities in Canada.
• CCFP, LMCC or MCCQE I/II credentials are required/advantageous.
• Active medical license or eligibility to practice in Alberta.

Responsabilidades

• Collect medical information from patients and colleagues to evaluate health status.
• Examine patients to identify diseases and injuries.
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments.
• Order labs, X-rays, and other diagnostics to determine treatment.
• Consult with other practitioners to assess health and coordinate care.
• Deliver babies and provide prenatal and postnatal care.
• Advise patients on healthcare and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Be an advocate for patients and coordinate primary care.
• Provide counselling and support to patients and families.

RESPONSIBILITIES

TASKS

• Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals
• Examine patients' health condition to identify diseases and injuries
• Help patients develop healthy habits, break old habits and reshape their approach to wellness
• Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment
• Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
• Deliver babies and provide pre-natal and post-natal care
• Advise patients on health care
• Be the patient advocate
• Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care
• Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
