Job description

Prica Global Enterprises (PGE) strives to make all persons and residents feel like they are always coming home. We understand that home is a sense of completeness, of being present and in-the-moment. Home is a sense of flow, and we connect this from one place to another. Prica Global designs and creates spaces and homes where people and places may flow together and in which they always feel at home. Building a home is not building permanence; it’s building a feeling of community for anyone that passes through.

Position Overview

The Government Funding Specialist will play a critical role in identifying, securing, and managing funding opportunities that support PGE’s mission and projects. This individual will be responsible for researching grants, preparing compelling proposals, managing reporting requirements, and building relationships with funding agencies, government bodies, and philanthropic organizations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent writing skills and a passion for community-driven design and innovation.

Primary Responsibilities

Funding Strategy & Grant Management

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify and evaluate government funding opportunities (e.g., ISED, FedDev Ontario, NRC, NSERC).
  • Monitor eligibility criteria, deadlines, and compliance requirements for all relevant funding programs.
  • Lead the end-to-end process for SR&ED tax incentive claims, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling funding proposals, including budgets, timelines, and impact narratives.
  • Ensure all applications meet formatting, documentation, and submission standards.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Work closely with project managers, designers, and external consultants to align project plans with financial and funding strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with funding agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.
  • Represent PGE in funding-related discussions and workshops.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Finance, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in government funding, grant writing, economic development, or public affairs—preferably within real estate, infrastructure, or construction.
  • Knowledge of Canadian funding programs (e.g., ISED, NRC IRAP, FedDev Ontario).
  • Deep understanding of the government funding landscape in Ontario and Canada, including economic development agencies and policy frameworks.
  • Strong financial and business acumen; able to interpret pro formas, project budgets, and financial justifications.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience in proposal writing and government liaison.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple complex funding applications simultaneously.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive Health and Dental plan
  • RRSP Matching
  • Continuous Learning Program
  • Career advancement opportunities
  • Employee Assistance Program
