Job summary

CIBC is seeking a Consultant, Business Effectiveness in Toronto to provide governance, risk, and controls advisory to leadership teams. You will participate in quarterly testing activities, audits, and artifact reviews to ensure compliant and effective risk management.

The role offers on-site work with a hybrid arrangement (1-3 days on-site). You should have 5 years in Audit/Compliance, strong SOX/ITGC knowledge, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Audit and Compliance functions.
• Strong understanding of internal quality controls, SOX/ITGC controls, records management, and CIBC Standards.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized advice to leadership teams on governance, risk, and controls.
• Support quarterly testing activities, audits, and artifact reviews to ensure compliance and effective risk management.
• Conduct research and develop recommendations for process improvements.
