Job summary

Kingsdale Advisors in Toronto is seeking an Associate to join its Governance Advisory team. The role focuses on research and analytical work regarding executive compensation and corporate governance for public companies in Canada and the United States.

You will prepare reports on governance matters, analyze compensation programs, support vulnerability assessments in contested elections, and help develop client relationships with a view toward best practices and E&S trends.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate governance or executive compensation research is an asset.
• Experience at proxy advisory firms, compensation consultants or institutional shareholders preferred.
• Strong knowledge of governance, executive compensation, E&S, and related trends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual meeting reports with director elections, auditor appointments, Say-on-Pay, and by-laws perspectives.
• Analyze executive compensation programs and board composition.
• Support vulnerability analyses in contested director elections.
• Identify governance, compensation, and E&S vulnerabilities for clients.
• Develop client relationships and provide advisory on governance topics.
