Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for tasks aligned to the P&T Delivery & Operations Risk and Control team. This includes effectively managing interactions with key risk partners across the organization. This position requires a significant amount of interfacing with partners at all levels of the organization required to drive the oversight of technology risk. It is accountable to implement programs to manage risk, govern issues, and ensure adherence to all required policies and programs.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Risk Partner Relationship Management: Responsible for assessing and driving mitigation of risk associated with organizational, operational, process, and if applicable technical changes. Assures that changes are implemented with minimal disruption.
  • Operational Risk Management - Risk Officer support of enterprise-wide operational risk strategies and execution of corporate risk management requirements including regulatory risk assessments, oversight, and mapping of controls associated with Laws, Rules, and Regulations (LRRs).
  • Identify, assess, communicate, manage, and mitigate regulatory compliance risk, applying a risk-based approach and operating the business or corporate segment in compliance with the associated LRR.
  • Responsible for performing RCM Assessments as defined by the Compliance Office.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below; 10+ years related experience required.
  • Risk Certification preferred but not required.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Ability to coach, counsel, train, and lead staff.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize and react to discrepancies.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal as well as the ability to develop executive level communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including demonstrated conflict management and negotiation skills.
  • Program management skills.
  • Proven experience in establishing and implementing effective strategies and short and long plans that achieve results.
  • Strong relationship building skills and the ability to foster good working relationships with diverse groups to identify issues, reach consensus and implement workable solutions.
  • Effective presentation skills, including the ability to present to regulators and executive management.
  • Strong ability to influence the decisions and actions of others without expressed authority.
  • Strong ability to analyze information and risks and effectively collaborate with partners on overall corporate direction.
  • Detailed oriented, strong analytical, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to successfully balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good judgment—ability to determine which issues to escalate and what to resolve independently, and provide suggestions for possible resolution.
