Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Google Workspace Specialist at IBM, you will join one of the fastest-growing practices within IBM Consulting, driving adoption of Google Workspace within our Enterprise customers. You will serve as a technical expert for Google Workspace, providing technical expertise, resolving GWS-related issues, supporting our growing GWS client base, and assisting with presales activities from a technical perspective.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Google Workspace Administration:
  2. Administer Google Workspace (GWS) environments for multiple clients, including setup, configuration, user provisioning, OU structuring, and security policy enforcement.
  3. Provide technical support on Google Workspace to existing and new customers, serving as the primary technical contact for support-related issues.
  4. Configure and enforce security settings such as MFA, DLP, access controls, and mobile management.
  5. Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and understanding of IT concepts like DNS, email routing, and identity management.
  6. Plan and execute migrations from platforms like Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace, managing integrations with other business applications.
  7. Maintain up-to-date documentation for client configurations, procedures, and service history.
  8. Presales Technical Support:
  9. Provide presales technical support, including understanding requirements, designing solutions, and presenting proposals related to GWS opportunities.
  10. Deliver technical presentations, demos, and training sessions for customers and internal teams.
  11. Client Engagement and Global Delivery:
  12. Assist in technical discovery, evaluations, and migration projects to GWS.
  13. Collaborate with Google support and external partners to resolve complex issues.
  14. Stay updated on GWS product innovations and market trends.
Preferred Education

Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
  • 4+ years supporting Google Workspace in a professional environment, preferably at an SI, MSP, Google, or a Google-certified partner organization.
  • Proficiency with Google Admin Console for account and service configuration.
  • Experience with tools like Google Workspace Migrate or Data Migration Service (DMS).
  • Experience with email and data migration, including encryption protocols, from Microsoft to Google Workspace.
  • Experience with Google Workspace Migration for Microsoft Outlook (GWMMO).
  • Knowledge of SMTP and Active Directory security management.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and understanding of GWS security and compliance features.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
  • Google Cloud Architect, GCP Developer certifications.
  • Managing and securing endpoints accessing Google Workspace data via endpoint management features.
  • Professional Google Workspace Administrator Certification.
