About The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Google Cloud Advisor - Operation Support (L1 and L2) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with development, security, and IT operations teams to ensure the seamless deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of our cloud-based applications and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Deploy, configure, and manage cloud resources on GCP, including virtual machines, storage, databases, and networking components.
- Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Google Cloud Deployment Manager to streamline and automate repetitive tasks.
- Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Integrate Google Cloud into existing monitoring platform systems and leverage appropriate tools to ensure the health and performance of cloud infrastructure. Optimize resources for cost and performance.
- Incident Management: Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. Implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup solutions.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure cloud infrastructure complies with security best practices and regulatory requirements. Manage IAM policies, firewalls, and encryption.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development, IT, and security teams to design and implement scalable, reliable cloud solutions. Provide guidance and support for cloud deployments and best practices.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, processes, and procedures. Provide training and knowledge sharing to team members and stakeholders.
- On-Call Support: Willingness to participate in a rotating schedule to provide 24/7 support for cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cloud operations, focusing on GCP.
- Proficiency with GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes Engine, VPC, Cloud Run, API Management, Cloud CLI, and Cloud Identity.
- Experience with CCaaS is an asset.
- Experience troubleshooting cloud networking and understanding traffic flow.
- Strong experience with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Deployment Manager.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
- Google Cloud Associate certification is an asset.
- Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Strong incident management skills, including quick assessment and resolution, stakeholder communication, and documentation.
- For candidates in Quebec, bilingualism is required.
- No Canadian work experience needed, but must be eligible to work in Canada.
