Position Summary

Reporting to the Golf Shop Manager – the Golf Shop Agent will be the first point of contact for guests seeking assistance with golf-related inquiries, merchandise, equipment rentals, and tee time bookings. Your responsibilities include maintaining an organized, welcoming, and well-stocked golf shop, while ensuring all guests have an outstanding experience. By delivering exceptional service, you'll contribute to the success of Silvertip's golf operations, enhancing the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist guests in a friendly, professional manner, answering questions about merchandise, golf services, and course information.
  • Promote and sell golf equipment, apparel, and accessories, providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences.
  • Manage tee time bookings and communicate with guests regarding their reservations.
  • Ensure the golf shop is clean, organized, and visually appealing, including restocking and maintaining displays.
  • Process customer transactions accurately, handling cash and credit payments.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of merchandise and coordinate stock levels with the team.
  • Assist in managing golf club and cart rentals, ensuring the equipment is in good condition.
  • Stay informed about the latest golf products, trends, and promotions to provide knowledgeable assistance.
  • Gather and document guest feedback to help improve service and the shopping experience.
  • Collaborate with golf operations and the events team to support special events, tournaments, and promotions.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales reports and inventory assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and cleanliness standards within the golf shop.

Requirements

  • Eligible to work in Canada full-time.
  • Lift up to 50lbs occasionally, 30lbs frequently, and 20lbs constantly
  • Follow all Health and Safety procedures
  • Previous experience in retail, golf operations, or hospitality preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for exceptional guest service and the golf industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash transactions.
  • Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions

Duration: This is a Full-Time seasonal position, April to October. Overtime during busy periods may be required.
