Job summary

Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is hiring Golf Operations Team Members to support Pro Shop operations and ensure members and guests receive the highest level of service outdoors.

You will greet guests, assist with bag storage, cart preparation, range setup, and tournament support, while working through all weather conditions and safety policies.

This position offers a team environment at a private club with a long history and opportunities to learn and grow.

Qualifications

• Must possess strong work ethic, be enthusiastic and a team player.
• Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions.
• Effective communication and listening skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely.
• Provide the highest levels of service to members and guests.
• Previous golf course experience is an asset.
• Experience operating golf carts and range tractors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests professionally and direct them as needed.
• Perform back shop duties: bag storage, club cleaning, and towel care.
• Operate and maintain golf carts and range equipment.
• Set up and manage range operations and the short game area.
• Assist with tournament setup and work with professional staff.
• Maintain communication with pro shop, starter, and inside staff.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and club policies.

Position Summary

Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is looking for individuals who love working outdoors! As a Golf Operations Team Member, you will assist with Pro Shop operations and ensure that our members and guests enjoy the highest level of professional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests in a professional, courteous and enthusiastic manner – direct guests to the appropriate locations or staff
• Perform back shop duties – bag storage, club cleaning, pulling clubs from racks, cars and putting on appropriate transportation, washing and drying dirty towels, lost and found, keeping back shop clean at all times, ensuring constant supply of divot mix
• Golf Carts – towing, staging, loading (bags, towels, scorecard, pencils), cleaning, charging, parking in cart storage, driving to 10th tee (half way house)
• Range operations – set up and take down, ensure adequate supply of clean golf balls, pick range as necessary, Sunday night clean picks, proper operation of range tractors
• Short Game Area – Set up and take down, observe area throughout day, clean off green and bunkers as needed (more during busier times)
• Assist with Tournament set up and execution – work alongside professional staff
• Keep in constant communication with the pro shop, starter and inside staff
• Performs other duties as directed by the Back-Shop Manager
• Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures as well as MG&CC and Pro Shop policies

Skills & Requirements

• Must possess strong work ethic – hard working, enthusiastic, self-motivated, positive attitude teamwork skills
• Comfortable with working under extreme weather conditions, including; hot and cold temperatures, high winds, extreme rainfalls, lightning
• Effective communication skills – listening, understanding and responding
• Commitment to working in a safe manner at all times- able to lift up to 50lbs
• Provide the highest levels of service to members and guests and anticipate needs
• Previous golf course experience is an asset
• Experience in the safe operation of motorized vehicles – Golf Carts, Range Tractor
