Built in 1922, the Idylwylde Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole private course located in the heart of Sudbury. Nestled between Laurentian University and Lakes Ramsey and Nepahwin, it offers a pristine setting for its users.

Position Description :

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual to handle the setup and maintenance of golf course equipment, including diesel, gasoline, electric, and hydraulic-powered machinery. The role involves implementing a comprehensive preventative maintenance program and maintaining proper documentation. You will also be responsible for training staff on the safe operation of golf course equipment, in collaboration with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent. Additionally, maintaining clean service areas and maintenance buildings is part of your duties. This is a full-time, year-round position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment; a graduate of an accredited related program is an asset.
  • Enjoys problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Innovative with fabrication skills.
  • Ability to utilize fleet management software.
  • Effective communication skills to foster a positive work environment.
  • Availability to work early mornings; some schedule flexibility is possible.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Salary : $32 – $40 per hour
