About Us:

Devon is a premier 18-hole championship golf course located in Devon Alberta. Known for our immaculate conditions and top-tier customer experience, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Golf Course Mechanic to join our grounds maintenance team.

Position Summary:

The Golf Course Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing all golf course maintenance equipment, including mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, and small engines. This role ensures that equipment is safe, reliable, and ready to support our turf care operations.

Responsibilities:

•Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a wide range of golf course equipment

•Perform preventive maintenance on engines, hydraulics, cutting units, and electrical systems

•Maintain detailed service records and parts inventory

•Operate equipment to test functionality and performance

•Work with the Superintendent to schedule repairs and maintenance

•Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements:

•3+ years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in a golf course or turf management setting

•Strong knowledge of small engines, diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems

•Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and schematics

•Welding and fabrication experience a plus

•Self-motivated and able to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

•Certification in turf equipment maintenance (e.g., Toro, John Deere)

•Experience with reel grinding and mower setup

•Familiarity with turf management practices and seasonal maintenance cycles
