Remote. (1 to 2 days a Month)This resource will primarily work remotely; however, the resource may be required to attend meetings or work sessions in office on reasonable notice from the province.

Work Requirements

Hours of work are 8 : 15 to 4 : 30 with a 1 hour lunch break Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed by the province.

The expectation will be for the resource to work from the office 1 to 2 days a Month

Work must be done within Canada / Alberta / North America

Description :

The Alberta Post-Secondary Application System (APAS) is a not-for profit organization comprising the 26 public post-secondary institutions in Alberta. APAS owns and operates the ApplyAlberta online application and transcript transfer system, which anyone can use to apply for admission to programs at one or more of those institutions.

The Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for management and administration tasks including project plans,

resource plans, timelines, status reports, progress reports, release planning.

Establish and operating control processes including schedule management, status

reporting, issues, risk, and change management.

Project coordination of project plans with other ministry projects and / or enterprise

components for integration purposes.

Investigate of technical issues.

Identify Change Requests, Decision Requests and Information Requests.

Management and coordination of approvals and sign-off of deliverables by clients.

Management, coordination and monitoring of team resources ensuring work

assignments are completed to approved criteria.

Manage development team members, mentoring and providing direction as required.

Develop the technical project plan and monitoring execution of delivery.

Participate in resource acquisition and allocation as required to meet delivery solution

timelines or requirements.

Review team deliverables to ensure technical component meet department standards

and practices.

Work within PMO governance structure and communicating with many types of

Deliver tested components that meet business requirements, functional and non-

functional test cases.

Deliver technical and user documentation of the completed components.

Support implementation and integration of solution into production environment.

This resource will primarily work remotely; however, the resource may be required to attend meetings or work sessions in office on reasonable notice from the Province. At the time of providing such notice, the Province will advise of the expected duration of any such meetings or work sessions. However, time to travel and any associated expenses to and from Edmonton and / or travel within Alberta will be at no cost to the Province.

Evaluation

The evaluation criteria will be distributed within the following categories. Subject to the requirements of FOIP, the evaluation of Responses shall be confidential, and not released to any party.

Interviews are estimated to start June 17, 2025, this is an estimate only.

There is one incumbent for the one position requested. However, for this and all other opportunities, the Ministry seeks the best person to fill the role.

Mandatory Training Courses :

Once hired the resource will be required to complete all mandatory training which includes but not limited to Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, Security / Cybersecurity, Information Management, and Respect in the Workplace. There may also be other mandatory and / or optional training.

ALL REQUIRED EXPERIENCE MUST BE DESCRIBED IN RESUME UNDER THE JOB / PROJECT WHERE EXPERIENCE WAS ATTAINED.
