Job summary

Brookfield Renewable is seeking a Finance Manager who will engage in complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, and focus on technical accounting for our global business. You will prepare, analyze and present TSX and NYSE statements as part of a collaborative accounting team.

The role involves IFRS/US GAAP knowledge, leading valuation efforts, maintaining SOX controls, and coordinating audit support. On-site presence is required to perform effectively.

• Experience with internal controls and SOX is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Connect with professionals from global platforms to support growth initiatives.
• Lead research and draft position papers on transactions from the corporate platform.
• Participate in valuing property, plant and equipment for IFRS reporting and for M&A.
• Perform/review analysis under IFRS 9, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 for various agreements.
• Maintain internal controls to ensure a SOX-compliant close process.
• Coordinate quarter- and year-end audit support with independent auditors.
• Provide support to the Vice President for ad-hoc requests.
