Job summary

New Flyer in Canada is seeking a Supplier Excellence & Readiness Assessment Specialist, Quality Systems to evaluate supplier quality management systems and process controls across the global supply base.

The role focuses on identifying systemic risks, CAPA, PFMEA, and ensuring controls to prevent defects; remote work with up to 50% travel, full-time. This position offers competitive compensation and benefits within the NFI family of companies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, manufacturing quality, quality systems, or operational excellence.
• Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100 or similar standards.
• Strong knowledge of CAPA, root cause analysis, containment and traceability.
• Experience evaluating supplier quality systems and conducting supplier audits/assessments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site supplier assessments of quality management systems and process controls.
• Evaluate quality systems, procedures, controls, metrics, and record management practices.
• Assess CAPA processes, root cause investigation methods, and corrective action effectiveness.
• Review traceability, inspection methods, testing programs, calibration and nonconforming material controls.
• Communicate assessment findings to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
