Nutrition International’s Programs Unit is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of Nutrition International’s core program interventions including program development, design, planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting, and grant management, including setting annual operational planning, budgeting, and review processes. The unit comprises a global team of professionals located in our 10 core countries across Asia, Africa and our headquarters in Ottawa, Canada. Currently, Nutrition International is seeking applications for a Global Portfolio Manager, CS to be based in Ottawa, ON or Remote in Canada.
You are someone with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in project management. PMP certification will be an asset. Previous experience working on child survival programming is highly valued for this position. You have above average ability in Excel and able to make sense of complex spreadsheets that support the development of better data management and program monitoring.
You have superior written and spoken English and French and are able to work with a team to put together complex documents that clearly articulate NI’s work. You have experience working within a matrixed team structure, are politically astute and able to work cross-culturally in a global team.
Fluency in English is required. French at an advanced level is required due to work in West Africa.
In this role you will:
The position will require regular travel to countries in Nutrition International’s program countries in Asia and Africa, no more than 40 days/year.
