Job summary

Bombardier in Dorval, QC, invites students to join a 12‑month internship in industrial engineering and operations and logistics management. This hybrid role is open to students only and offers hands-on experience at the Dorval Plant 3 with travel opportunities within Canada.

You will develop plans to support the sector master plan, monitor adherence, analyze production cycles by workstation, and collaborate with production, logistics, methods, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have strong analytical and planning abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and French is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a detailed plan to support the sector's master plan and ensure planning tools are updated.
• Communicate sector plan and amendments to stakeholders.
• Monitor and measure adherence to the plan (cycles and hours of delay).
• Analyze production cycles at the workstation level to track progress of the final assembly and manufacturing line.
• Identify deviations from production plans and propose recovery strategies.
• Understand labor plans, component demand, work progress, and learning curves; translate changes into detail plans.
• Coordinate recovery plans in delays on the production line and interact with multiple functions.
• Contribute to logistics strategies for finishing interiors that support production needs.
• Plan daily work based on capacity and profitability objectives.
• Support changes in products and translate them into detailed plans.
• Participate in improvement projects (Achieving Excellence, 5S, Cost Reduction, Value-Added Production).
