We are currently looking for a Global OT ICS Security Lead, located in Florenceville, NB.

As the Primary Lead for McCain’s OT Security Program, you will be responsible for driving the strategic and operational direction of McCain’s Operational Technology (OT) security initiatives. Your role will focus on securing industrial control systems (ICS), mitigating cyber risks, and ensuring compliance with industry standards while enabling business continuity. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT Security, Engineering, and Business Units, to strengthen McCain’s OT cybersecurity posture.

Accountabilities:

Primary Functions:

  • Function as a primary lead for McCain’s OT security program.
  • Develop and lead McCain’s global OT security program, aligning it with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Define OT security policies, standards & guidelines. Be accountable to define and implement the OT security roadmap.
  • Establish a governance framework that integrates OT security into overall business and operational risk management.
  • Ensure continuous governance and risk monitoring, providing regular updates to executive leadership on OT cybersecurity risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Work with a multifunctional team to design and implement secure OT network architectures, including IT/OT segmentation, firewalls, air-gapping, and zero-trust models.
  • In collaboration with Security Operations, design security monitoring solutions (SIEM, anomaly detection, asset management tools) for ICS/SCADA environments.
  • Define the tooling and processes to increase cyber resilience in OT environments to an acceptable level.
  • Act as a solution architect to fulfill new OT needs in a secure-by-design approach. This includes defining architectural integration of new applications, (Cloud) providers, networks, firewalls and systems with a specific focus on the impact on preventive, detective and responsive security controls
  • Establish and oversee an OT-specific incident response framework, including detection, containment, eradication, and recovery from cyber threats targeting industrial systems.
  • Research and select new IT & OT technologies. This includes partner and technology selection through RFP, Proof of Concept studies, integration into the existing technology and governance landscape and transfer to respective stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of emerging OT threats, vulnerabilities, and attack trends, integrating intelligence into McCain’s security program.
Skills & Knowledge:
  • Detail OT operating environment (e.g. SCADA, PLCs)
  • Experience in developing, leading, and scaling OT cybersecurity programs across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Knowledge of network segmentation, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, and zero-trust models for securing OT environments.
  • Working effectively with engineering, automation, IT security, compliance, and business leadership teams.
  • Familiarity with IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, asset discovery tools, anomaly detection, and log analysis for OT.
  • Experience in handling ICS-specific cyber incidents, working with SOC teams, forensic analysis, and cyber drill exercises.
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK for ICS, nation-state threats, ransomware attacks on OT, and supply chain vulnerabilities.
  • Familiarity with Rockwell solutions.
Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • 10+ years of combined experience in IT security, OT security, and industrial control systems.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in securing ICS & OT environments, including DCS, PCS, SCADA systems, PLCs, etc.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific security frameworks such as IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, ISO 27001, and CIS controls.
  • Knowledge of security standards (e.g. IEC 62443, NIST SP800-82, ISO2700x)
  • At least 5 years of experience in international and global organizations
  • Supplier management (incl. provider and technology sourcing)
  • Understands the threat landscape of network-connected OT/ICS technology.
  • Ability to lead and manage projects
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and explain technical knowledge in business language to management and other stakeholders
  • Very knowledgeable in IT & OT technological trends
  • Expert in various IT security domains (certifications like GICSP, CISSP, CISM are a plus)

Compensation Package

$102,700.00-$137,000.00CAD annually + bonus eligibility

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
