Job summary

RBC in Toronto is seeking a Network Security Analyst to provide level 2 support for network security and application delivery services. You will partner with IT to analyze business and system needs and propose technology solutions.

The role involves design, testing and technical analysis across projects, with emphasis on risk mitigation and stakeholder communication. Expect to work on firewalls, web app firewalls, VPNs, cloud security, and related technologies while collaborating with

Qualifications

• In depth and current technical knowledge of IP internetworking and security designs.
• Advanced understanding of application delivery controllers / load balancers, WAFs, proxies, and security tech.
• Strong understanding of security exposures and mitigating designs.
• IT standards, methodologies, and audit requirements.
• Development experience with scripting (Python, JavaScript, HTML).

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed plans and estimates for build, test, and implementation.
• Coordinate install, configuration, admin, troubleshooting, and de-install of security products.
• Provide consulting on new cyber and network initiatives of varying complexity.
• Determine best mix of development, interfacing apps, and vendor solutions to meet requirements.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for projects.
• Support cyber and network security infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAFs, cloud security).
• Communicate effectively with team, stakeholders, and interfaces.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to technology partners; may act as project lead.
