Job summary

Vialto Partners is seeking a Senior Associate to uphold tax compliance and optimize tax processes for globally mobile employees across countries. You will help reduce tax-related risks and costs while ensuring adherence to local and international tax laws.

This hybrid role offers minimum two days in the office across Calgary, Toronto or Vancouver. You will collaborate with global teams, provide advisory services to multinational clients, and use AI-enabled tools to drive data-driven insights in

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in Canadian & US individual tax planning for employees.
• Experience with cross-border movement, including foreign national and expatriate issues, foreign tax compliance and tax equalization.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and a proactive attitude.
• Exposure to AI and emerging technologies, with the ability to leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency and data-driven insights.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Management, Economics, Finance, International Business, Management, Quantitative Finance

Responsibilities

• Tax Compliance & Advisory: Prepare, review, and file tax returns for globally mobile employees.
• Collaboration & Employee Support: Coordinate remote client project teams across global delivery centers.
• Client & Business Development: Serve as main contact for clients, identify opportunities, expand relationships.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze compensation and payroll data, present findings to management and authorities.
